Happy birthday Mom! On this day 87 years ago the most amazing person was born into this world. Lula Lavern Zollicoffer-Walker was born. As the old folks would say I wasn’t even thought of yet. Lula was my adopted mother. She had a beautiful smile a beautiful heart and she was the kindest person I have ever met. She would give you her last dollar. I feel this world was not good enough for her. Lula is no longer with us, but I hope that she rest in peace and that she is with me all the days of my life. I love you mom until we meet again.
It is New Year’s day 1/1/2019 and I am off today. I am enjoying this very moment with my cup of pomegranate tea and laptop in hand excited to blog. I am feeling very optimistic about the new year. In fact, 2018 wasn’t a bad year at all for me. I will forever remember 2018 as the year that I discovered myself.
For the first time in my life, I am in really good place right now. I never imagined being, here….. at peace. I have had a pretty interesting life with lots of ups and downs, twists and turns. It’s not like my journey was so special or different from everyone else’s, it’s that my journey is MY journey. I would love to share bits and pieces of it. I challenge myself to be transparent. This is why I wanted to create the kissitbetter blog.
The blog will allow me to indulge in a creative outlet. Writing has always been therapeutic for me. The challenge is consistency. I am exciting to start blogging, but this is a new territory for me. This will be a learning process and I truly hope this grows into something I can truly call my own. Something I created and allows me to be free.
“Healing yourself is connected with healing others” – Yoko Ono. The theme of my blog is healing and mental health information. I wish to research and share information regarding mental health, healing and healthy living. Mental health is a subject we don’t often discuss. I believe there are many people out there with mental health issues. As a future Philanthropist, I am passionate about researching information on mental health to help humanity heal. I hope this blog helps me along with anyone else who is interested in seeing love and healing on a global level. I hope you will embark on this journey with me. My name is Walker and it’s nice to meet you.
Thanks for joining me!
